About us:
The Education and Research Unit provides Nursing and Midwifery education, professional practice development services and Clinical Practice Improvement initiatives for nursing and midwifery staff, to facilitate the achievement of best practice health service delivery requirements.
About the role:
The Nurse Educator leads and supports a culture of development and enquiry which actively encourages and facilitates clinical, professional and organisational learning.
About you:
To be successful in this role you must have:
- A Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent.
- Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
- Current annual practising certificate.
- A relevant postgraduate qualification at an AQF level 9 in which clinical education was a large component or a research higher degree is a requirement of this position. Where the successful applicant does not currently hold this qualification, commitment to completion of the required post-graduate study within an agreed timeframe is expected and will form part of the performance review process.
- Demonstrated ability to educate, inform and support staff and patients with contemporary clinical information at an advanced level.
- Demonstrated ability to apply specialised knowledge of contemporary nursing practice and theory in professional issues including Scope of Clinical Practice of all Nursing and Midwifery roles, Supported Practice Framework and application of requirements of refresher, reskilling and re-entry participants.

Total remuneration value of up to $127,543 p.a. is comprised of:
- A salary between $64.90 - $70.47 p.h.
- 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
- 17.5% leave loading
