Nurse Practitioner required for a brand new clinic SOR - Permanent opportunity
Your new company
Hays have partnered with an Indigenous Corporation who are opening a new Medical Practice SOR and are looking for an experienced Nurse Practitioner to join their team on a permanent basis.
Your new role
• Provide advanced nursing assessment, diagnosis, care and intervention to patients within scope
• High-level clinical nursing, leadership, management and governance within the practice
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to diagnose, treat and manage patient health
• Provide expert care to patients and families though prescribing medications, ordering pathology and radiological tests, referring patients to general practitioners and other health professionals and undertaking patient care on referrals
• Provide advanced clinical assessment skills in accordance with Nurse Practitioner legislation and individual scope of practice
• Clinical and professional leadership, assist in maintenance of standards or nursing practice and patient care
• Manage patient recalls, reminders and follow up of test results
• Record and maintain accurate patient records
What you'll need to succeed
• Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse with endorsement as a Nurse Practitioner
• Maintain competence to practice in accordance with the national competency standards for the Nurse Practitioner
• Advanced Clinical experience in the assessment and treatment of illness and injury
• Extensive professional leadership experience
• Clinical problem-solving skills - conceptual and analytical ability
• Quality improvement experience
• Sound knowledge of relevant legislation, health regulations and legislative obligations
• Evidence of professional indemnity insurance
