Position Title:Nurse Practitioner (NP)

Location: Chermside, QLD

Company: The Wellness Practice

Type of Role: Full Time or Part Time available

Salary Range: $89,000 - $105,000 + super (plus annual bonus based on performance) FTE

Start Date: Mid-June 2024

The Wellness Practice is opening a brand-new, purpose-built allied health and wellness centre in Chermside, providing services to support and educate our patients, fostering positive, long-lasting improvements in health and wellbeing.

About You:

We are seeking an enthusiastic, confident, and agile Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our brand-new Wellness Practice, located in the heart of Chermside, adjacent to the Chermside Health Hub.

The successful NP will enjoy independence and will be able to use their initiative within their role. You will provide face to face and telehealth services, and where required off-site in the community.

Using your advanced clinical skills to provide care including (not limited to):

  • Patient health assessment and diagnosis.
  • Health planning, management, advice, and support.
  • Chronic care management and diabetes education
  • Prescribing medications according to the PBS.
  • Ordering and analysing diagnostic investigations for pathology and radiology.
  • Referring patients to other health care professionals and managing referrals from other health care professional’s clinicians.
  • Women’s health experience including contraception, pap smear and vaccinations.
  • Immunisations
  • Wound Care
  • DVA, ADF, Workcover and NDIS Services

This role would suit a motivated, ‘can do’ practitioner looking to grow their career, someone who loves what they do, who wants to work in an environment that has variety, and a supportive interdisciplinary team and service offering.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Current registration as a Nurse Practitioner with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA).
  • Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
  • Master's degree in Nursing (Nurse Practitioner).
  • Minimum 2 years proven experience as a Nurse Practitioner.
  • Full Australian working rights
  • Current driver’s license and personal vehicle for transport
  • Valid working with children and Police check

Skills and Experience

  • Minimum 1 year clinical and NDIS experience
  • Medicare Chronic Care Plan experience
  • Experience in NDIS, DVA, workers compensation and corporate health management
  • Prior experience working within Private Practice, Primary Care and Telehealth.
  • Computer literacy in Proda, NDIS portal, MS Word/Excel, Email and an electronic medical record / referral system.
