Wyndham Clinic Private Hospital is situated in Werribee, Melbourne – just minutes off the West Gate Freeway. We are currently recruiting for an experienced Mental HealthNurse Practitioner to join our experienced and friendly team.
The Mental HealthNurse Practitioner is responsible for ensuring exceptional client focused care for our patients at Wyndham Clinic Private Hospital.
The successful candidate will demonstrate advanced nursing assessment skills and ensure high quality care delivery within the scope of the Nurse Practitioner.
Our Mental Health and Drug & Alcohol Unit offers an inpatient detoxification and rehabilitation program supported by an experienced multidisciplinary team.
About the role:
- Provides advanced clinical assessment/reasoning skills and autonomous care to patients in accordance with Nurse Practitioner legislation and within individual scope of practice.
- Provides collaborative clinical and professional leadership and assists in the ongoing delivery of safe and high-quality patient care at Wyndham Clinic Private Hospital.
- Actively promotes collaborative relationships with patients, peers and all members of the multidisciplinary healthcare team.
Selection Criteria:
- AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse with endorsement as a Nurse Practitioner
- Advanced clinical experience in the assessment and treatment of Mental Health/AOD clients within our service relevant to the role and within the individual scope of practice
- Demonstrated extensive ongoing professional development.
- Demonstrated collaborative and leadership experience
- Demonstrated clinical problem solving and critical thinking abilities
- Advanced communication/interpersonal skills (both verbal and written)
- Knowledge, understanding and experience in quality improvement initiatives within the clinical environment
- Sound knowledge in legislation requirements and health regulation acts
- Sound computer literacy skills
- Documented evidence of appropriate professional development and continuing professional indemnity insurance
