Classification: NM11
Salary per fortnight (exc. super): $4,849.00
Hours per fortnight: 80 (Including an ADO every 4 weeks)
Employment Status: Full Time, Ongoing
Other requirements: COVID-19 Vaccination (3 doses)

Through visible and accessible leadership, the Nurse Unit Manager (NUM) is at the forefront of providing care that is underpinned by safe, coordinated and high-quality patient centred care across the multidisciplinary environment of their unit. The role is responsible for ensuring positive patient outcomes while maintaining staff satisfaction and engagement. The NUM will achieve this through the development of effective partnerships, leadership and management of all nursing staff and resources, within a multidisciplinary team environment.

The NUM provides clinical leadership and management expertise, is an active mentor and facilitates the development of clinical and management skills in all staff within their unit. The NUM will work alongside the team to influence their clinical leadership and administrative capability.

The NUM will be accountable for operational management and strategic leadership to cardiology services (CCL) within the division and work closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure that Bendigo Health cardiology services are safe, provide an excellent patient experience, and are in alignment with the Victorian Cardiac Plan.

Your new division

The Clinical Operations Division encompasses acute, allied health, cancer and mental health services. We provide a wide range of general medical, surgical and specialty services including but not limited to; Oncology, Cardiology, Renal, Emergency, Women’s and Children’s, Critical Care, Specialist Clinics, Cancer Clinics and Mental Health Services. Our Allied Health teams provide a diverse range of programs and person centred care in inpatient, outpatient, community, home and residential care settings.
