We are One Peninsula Health.What You Will Be DoingPeninsula Health has a full time opportunity for an experienced Nursing leader to join our team in the Infusion Centre.The Infusion centre delivers a range of same day services such as blood and iron infusions, medication infusions, small procedures including trial of void. The service operates from 0800 – 1630 Monday – Friday and is closed on public holidays. There is a capacity of 10 recliner chairs and 2 beds plus seating capacity for transiting patients. Currently there are approximately 250 patient contacts per month.The Nurse Unit Manager is responsible for overall leadership and management ensuring the delivery of high quality patient centred care, and management of risk. Key responsibilities include the coordination of referrals, managing service demand efficiently and supervision of Nursing, clerical and PSA staff.What You NeedWe anticipate you will have:• Lead and manage the team to achieve high quality clinical care in accordance with evidence based practice standards and Peninsula Health values.• Coordinate, plan, evaluate and review care in consultation with the patient, carers, and multidisciplinary team.• Liaise with other stakeholders (eg Consultant, allied health, and other service providers) regarding patient care and treatment and to facilitate patient flow.• Coordinate nursing care and allocation of staff to appropriate workload to meet patient needs.• Support staff to deliver high quality, safe and effective treatment.• Plan daily patient bookings to optimise service utilisation.• Actively respond to consumer feedback• Ensure the safety of the public, patients and staff in relation to the provision of relevant Acts (OH&S and Infection Control) and Peninsula Health policies.• Ensure all administrative functions are completed including the management of resources within the Unit/Department.• Promote a culture of continuous service improvement with the Unit/Department by monitoring standards of service and practice.• Ensure all staff have completed mandatory training and have active performance development plans.What NextApply Now!To discuss this opportunity further please contact Monique German at MGerman@phcn.vic.gov.auIf you experience any issues signing in or registering, please feel welcome to contact us - the People Experience Team on (03) 9784 2700.Additional RequirementsPeninsula Health is an Equal Employment Opportunity Employer that is committed to inclusion and diversity and promotes a workplace that welcomes and includes the unique contributions of all people.
