Job Description:

We are currently seeking a compassionate and dedicated Nursing Support Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide essential assistance to our nursing staff and help ensure the comfort, safety, and well-being of our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist nursing staff with the provision of basic patient care, including bathing, grooming, dressing, and feeding.

• Help patients with mobility issues to move safely and comfortably, using proper lifting and transfer techniques.

• Monitor and record vital signs, such as temperature, pulse, and blood pressure, under the direction of nursing staff.

• Assist with the implementation of care plans and treatment protocols, following established procedures and guidelines.

• Provide emotional support and companionship to patients, helping to alleviate feelings of loneliness or anxiety.

• Maintain a clean and organized environment for patients, including making beds, tidying rooms, and ensuring hygiene standards are met.

• Report any changes in patients' conditions or concerns to nursing staff promptly, ensuring timely intervention and response.

Qualifications:

• Certificate III or IV in Individual Support, Aged Care, or Disability Support is required.

• Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in a healthcare or aged care setting, is preferred.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact compassionately and effectively with patients and colleagues.

• Empathy, patience, and a genuine desire to help others.

• Ability to work as part of a team and follow instructions from nursing staff and supervisors.

• Willingness to undergo additional training and development as required.
