Woodbine Inc. is seeking applications for the part-time position of Occupational Health & Safety Coordinator.
As a member of the Woodbine Corporate Services team this position reports to the Manager Corporate Services and works closely with Senior Management to support the provision of high quality disability services in a healthy and safe workplace environment.
An induction period will be provided and the successful applicant will receive ongoing mentoring and training in the duties of the position.
Key duties include:
- Promoting and providing support for OH&S and quality improvement within the organisation
- Conducting risk assessments and internal quality audits and reporting findings
- Identifying improvement opportunities
- Convening the OH&S Consultative Committee
- Supporting teams with OHS and quality related matters.
Selection Criteria
Essential
- Demonstrated experience in implementing workplace Health and Safety programs
- Working knowledge of Victorian OH&S legislation and related codes and guidelines
- Understanding of quality assurance and continual improvement principles
- NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to analyse and problem solve
- Current Driver’s License.
Desirable
- Accredited qualification or related experience in OH&S and/or quality management.
- Prior experience in disability services or health/community settings.
