About the role:
As the successful applicant, you will be required to manage components of the pre-employment medical process to support Victoria Police recruitment activities; provide Occupational Health advice to Victoria Police members; provide support and assistance to the Police Medical Officer; perform clinical assessments of recruit applicants and police members and conduct drug and alcohol testing across the organisation.
The position is currently located within the Melbourne CBD, though some duties may involve travel across metropolitan and regional Victoria. This may occasionally involve after-hours and weekend work, including overnight stays.

Some of your duties will include:
- Key focus on Recruitment activities – Victoria Police applicants, Police Custody Officers and Protective Service Officers to ensure the targets are met.
- Clinical responsibilities - hearing testing, lung function testing, visual acuity testing and other clinical activities.
- Medical Advice Line - take calls and provide advice to members following exposure to potential blood borne viruses.
- Drug testing - conduct all types of drug testing as per The Victoria Police Act 2013.
- Provide clinical health advice and assistance to Victoria Police staff, when needed.
As the successful applicant, you will have:
- Must be a Tertiary qualified Health Practitioner.
- Experience and qualification in Occupational Health highly desirable.
- Must have a relevant Nursing or Allied Health registration.
- Experience in Workplace Drug & Alcohol testing would be advantageous.
- Experience with office-based IT systems is desirable.
- Possess a current Victorian Driver License and hold or qualify for an appropriate Victoria Police driving authority within three (3) months.

- One (1) x full-time, fixed term position available.
- This position is located at Victoria Police Centre, 311 Spencer Street, Docklands.

- The successful candidate will be required to undergo pre-employment checks which may include fingerprint checks and misconduct screening.
