Job description

About the Role

As a Silicosis Case Manager, you will provide needs-based services to people with respiratory work related injuries as well as assist and support in the delivery of person centered case management to ensure entitlements to compensation are made appropriately. Dealing with internal and external stakeholders is paramount to strong and sustainable outcomes.

Required Expertise  

  • Customer service experience within a medical environment
  • Strong understanding of respiratory and Occupational Lung Disease  
  • Strong written and interpersonal skills, including the ability to liaise effectively with patients, medical, paramedical and legal practitioners
  • Sensitivity to issues related to people with medical, cultural and social needs
  • Technically capable of working across multiple platforms and being self sufficient with technology and troubleshooting systems 
  • Processing abilities – claims management activities, eg. file noting
  • Ability to work in a rapidly changing, sometimes high-pressured environment 
  • Be an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident
