Occupational Therapist

Well Life Services is expanding and looking for a purpose-driven Occupational Therapist to expand our multi-disciplinary Allied Health Team. You could be the one if you:

Our OT team is growing, so we have capacity to take on new graduates or experienced therapists for these roles for a mixed funding community role working with adults.

We need you to bring these specifics to the table:

• Occupational Therapist Qualification, with current registration with Australian Health Practitioner Regulatory Authority (AHPRA), or eligibility to apply (we welcome new graduates or international therapists).
• Current (or willingness to undergo) NDIS Worker Screening Check.
• Full Driver’s License.
• Working With Children’s Check.
• First aid and CPR.
• C-class driver’s license and access to a fully registered vehicle.
• Medicare Provider Number (Or ability to apply). 
• Occupational Therapy Australia (OTA) membership, or willingness to join for access to training and support.

Every day looks different, but here’s a snapshot of your core responsibilities:

• Home and clinic-based occupational therapy assessments including all activities of daily living, mobility, and home safety. 
• Mixed adult and adolescent clients, equipment recommendations, ongoing interventions, and assessment only interventions – no two days are the same! 
• Client assessment, intervention and report writing. These should include all available options, to high standards, for each funding body, within required timeframes. You will have support to learn these if you are unfamiliar. 
• Identifying and understanding of the risk factors experienced by each client with high-risk and/or complex needs. 

We’re looking for someone who can:

• Work independently and within a team, including with a managing OT.
• Meet timelines.
• Work flexibly in response to the ongoing changes in the disability and community health sectors.
• Maintain a supportive attitude at work, both with clients and our close-knit team.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills. 
• Meet our unique KPI’s, which include admin done-for-you so that you can focus on your time with clients.
