About the role
An exciting opportunity exists for an Occupational Therapist to join our Allied Health team at Calvary Healthcare Lenah Valley Hospital. The position will involve working across a variety of inpatient areas including Medical, Surgical, Rehabilitation and Palliative Care.
Your main duties will include:
- Working as an effective member of the multidisciplinary team in the assessment, planning, implementation and review of occupational therapy and multidisciplinary interventions and programs.
- Conduct functional, cognitive personal care and home assessments and provide appropriate education, advice and recommendations to patients, families and hospital staff based on the results.
- Participate in ongoing education delivery to staff, patients and families around the setup for functional environments, best practise pressure care and aids and equipment options.
About you:
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Occupational Therapy
- Current AHPRA registration
- Current Full drivers license
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and computer literacy
- Experience working in a hospital setting highly desirable
- Experience conducting home assessments highly desirable
