  • Occupational Therapist - Rockingham
    • Permanent Full time or Part time roles
    • Case List: ready to go paediatric caseload of varying complexity based on your experience, providing great opportunities to continually develop your skills and knowledge

About us

Ace Therapy is a small but growing business registered NDIS provider that provides therapy services from centres in Stirling and Rockingham. We work with people of all ages and abilities to maximise their independence. We have a team of therapists OT, PT and SP selected for their experience and skills.

Qualifications & experience

  • Bachelor of Applied Science (Occupational Therapy) or approved equivalent, and registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency
  • Clear understanding of the needs and rights of people with disabilities, and of the concepts of social role valorisation, inclusion, active support and quality of life
  • Demonstrated ability in assessment and clinical reasoning which supports planning, implementing and evaluating Occupational Therapy services with the purpose of achieving the highest possible quality of life for people with disabilities
  • Ability to work effectively and collaboratively as a team member with clients, and all other stage holders, relating to participants.
  • Completion of the NDIS Workers Orientation Module
  • Australian driver’s license 
  • Police Clearance 
  • NDIS Workers Screening Check 
  • Completion of the NDIS Workers Orientation Module 
  • First Aid
  • Working with children check

Tasks & responsibilities

  • Liaising with external stakeholders, such as other health professionals, NDIA- related entities, family members, educational staff, and community members to provide individualise support plans.
  • Providing evidence-based Occupational therapy assessments and services, to participants in their home and community environments, based on their goals.
  • Providing therapy services individually and as a member of an inter-disciplinary team
  • Providing accurate, timely and high-quality reports and documentation of and reporting on intervention strategies
  • Providing support to senior clinical staff by contributing to initiatives related to areas such as clinical service delivery and continuous improvement
  • Recommendation of appropriate assistive technology in accordance with NDIS guidelines, based on participants goals and funding
  • Consultation through the provision of advice and information to participants, service users, families and staff as appropriate
  • Supervision, support and mentoring of other staff
  • Work collaboratively with NDIS participants, families and supporting networks to improve effectiveness and drive positive outcomes
  • Work within the NDIS funding framework and meet compliance and quality standards
