The Role
An opportunity has become available for an Occupational Therapist (Mental Health - Young Adult and Specialty Services) to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 12 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.
You will
- Provide a comprehensive and flexible Mental Health service to young people and their family/carers including assessment, intervention, treatment planning and evaluation
- Manage a highly complex caseload with clinical supervision and support based on the level of individual clinical experience
- Demonstrate clinical knowledge in child and youth development and Mental Health
- Contribute to the supervision and clinical education of students and other less experienced staff, in consultation and with the support of senior clinical staff
About you
To be successful in this position you will require:
- A tertiary degree in Occupational Therapy
- AHPRA Registration
- Driver licence
- Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Hepatitis B
- Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required
- Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
- Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)

Salary
- Permanent full time
- Base salary ranging from $76 747 - $112 805 per annum

Gold Coast Young Adult and SpecialtyMental Health Services is a part of the Mental Health and Specialist Services (MHSS) Division. The Young Adult and Specialty Services Continuing Care Team (CCT) is a multi-disciplinary, multi-specialty team within the Gold Coast Child and Youth Mental Health Service operating across the Gold Coast Hospital and Health Service to provide multispecialty Mental Health intervention to young people aged 18-21 years. Young Adult and Specialty Services CCT operates over two sites (Robina and Southport) offering ongoing care coordination and therapeutic care for young people with severe and complex Mental Health problems.
