Occupational Therapist - Private Practice

With over 30 years’ experience servicing the Illawarra, Physical Therapy is comprised of a team of highly skilled Physiotherapists, Exercise Physiologists, Occupational Therapist and Doctors. We are dedicated to supporting clients of all ages to build their capabilities, reach their goals and obtain supports to enhance the quality of their everyday living.

We have a unique modern facility including private and group therapy rooms, a hydrotherapy pool and a fully equipped gym.

The Role

• Permanent part time, full-time or contractor positions available
• Assessment and intervention completed in the clinic or within the community
• Complex AT prescription
• Prescription of environmental modifications
• Completion of ADL and SIL assessments
• Provision of functional training to carers to promote their clients' independence
• Development and implementation of capacity building programs
• Assistance to transition people into new accommodation models
• This role is suitable for experienced Occupational Therapists and/or new graduates

Essential Criteria:

• AHPRA registration
• Working with Children Check and Police Check
• NDIS Workers Screening Check
• Current driver’s license 
• Experience with equipment prescription and environmental modifications
• Demonstrated ability to work independently within a team and apply professional knowledge and judgement when performing tasks
• Demonstrated high level written and verbal communication skills, time management and organizational skills
• Excellent ability to provide clinical reasoning and report writing skills
• Self-motivated and passionate to further develop and implement a quality service
