Job description

Join a company passionate about putting YOU first 💪

Feeling a bit crispy from burnout? Swamped with a never-ending to-do list and sky-high expectations? Lost that spark and passion for your work?

We totally get it — we've been in those shoes at previous gigs. At Amend Rehab, one of our top priorities is to help you strike that perfect work-life harmony and reignite your love for what you do!

Why join our team?
  • 📊 No KPIs - KPIs shouldn't overshadow the amazing quality and value you bring to clients. Let's focus on the magic you create, not just the numbers!
  • 😄 Flexibility - Who says everything has to be rigid? Fancy working From Home? Easy. How about a 9-day fortnight? You got it! Flexibility is our middle name.
  • 🌱 Career Growth - We'd love to discover what excites you about career growth. Rest assured, we're big believers in upskilling, professional development, and top-notch in-house and external supervision. Let's grow together!
  • ✌️ Culture - Easy-going and cheerful, but we switch on our professional mode when it's game time! If that's your jam, you're going to groove with us perfectly. We're all about chuckles, wowing our clients, and having each other's backs — it's just how we roll!
  • 💸 Money! We offer a generous salary tailored to your experience, plus exciting weekly bonuses that could have you pocketing an extra $15,000 per year!
About us

Amend Rehab is a growing provider of occupational therapy and physiotherapy services across the Brisbane area. We will be introducing speech therapy as a service starting in May!

We are a mobile service (with our office in Eight Mile Plains) primarily working with participants on the NDIS. We are a team full of friendly faces, committed to creating a positive ripple in the world, and motivated to provide the highest quality services in our division!

Currently, our team comprises 4 skilled Occupational Therapists (including Jessie our OT team leader, who can provide direct support), 5 physiotherapists, 3 dedicated administrative staff, 1 allied heath assistant and our friendly directors - John and Aiden.

Burnout has become all too familiar in the allied health sector. Many clinicians are stretched thin, which can compromise the quality of care they deliver. Add to that the constraints on salary progression, role advancement, and professional growth, and it's clear there's room for improvement.

At Amend Rehab, we're on a mission to "amend" these industry patterns. Our aim is to create the kind of workplace we once longed for, blending professionalism with warmth, understanding, and of course, some fun!

Who are we looking for?

We're on the lookout for a new Occupational Therapist to join our crew! While we have some criteria in mind (see below), at the end of the day, it's all about the right connection. If you feel you'd mesh well with us, we'd love to hear from you, no matter what.

Necessary Skills and Experience:

  • Experience working with adults with disabilities, including those who are neurodivergent (Autistic, ADHD, Intellectual Disabilities, etc.) and/or who have other physical and psychosocial disabilities.
  • Understanding of NDIS funding, terminology and reporting requirements.
  • Proficiency completing both Functional Capacity Assessments (FCAs) and delivering ongoing occupational therapy support.

Desirable Skills and Experience:

  • Experience with Level 3/4 AT prescription and/or home modifications
  • Experience completing SIL and SDA assessments and reports.
  • Experience with facilitating group programs.
  • Understanding of neuro-affirming practice and trauma-informed practice, or a willingness to learn.

To provide a fuller picture, the largest gaps in our service currently include ongoing therapies for adults, home modifications, and complex assistive technology (AT) prescriptions.

More about the role

Employment type

Full-time, Part-time and Casual are available

Salary

Remuneration is mainly based on experience and skillset, however we will also take into consideration your ability to take on our in-demand referrals.

Our packages start at $90,000 per annum (+11% superannuation + Bonuses + Allowances) but can extend to $120,000 per annum (+11% superannuation + Bonuses + Allowances).

If you think you will require a lot of support in your first 3-6 months (including supervision, extensive CPD, extensive shadowing and ride alongs), we can also tailor to that in your package!

Beyond your remuneration package, you are entitled to a $0.92 per kilometre reimbursement for work-related travel. Alternatively, you may opt for the use of a company car. We will also provide you with a company phone and laptop.

Duties
Dive into a vibrant community-based role where you'll be pivotal in conducting assessments and therapies for our valued NDIS clients, right within the comforts of their homes. For tasks that don't require face-to-face interaction, feel free Work From Home or at our office in Eight Mile Plains.

We genuinely value your preferences and are keen to tailor your responsibilities to match. Your potential role could encompass:

  • Engaging in capacity-building therapies
  • Conducting functional capacity assessments and crafting comprehensive reports.
  • Offering assistive technology recommendations and prescriptions.
  • Optionally, improving service quality with your insights.
  • Optionally, enriching our in-house Continuous Professional Development (CPD) sessions.
  • Actively contributing to enriching team discussions.
  • And of course, celebrating successes at our lively team events (optional but highly recommended for fun!).

Come be a part of our mission and journey! 🌟🤝
