he role can be full time or part time as agreed to suit the operational requirement and the candidate's personal circumstances.
Your responsibilities
- Administration of the order process (requisition form approval process) from sourcing and order placement through to ensuring staff receipt and checking of supplier invoices.
- Administrator of procure tool and assist roll out to all users, maintain.
- Make purchasing recommendations to the head of Finance.
- Ensures that all purchasing is in compliance with regulations and laws related to purchasing practices and in accordance with our standard practices, policies and procedures.
- Liaising with freight forwarders and customs brokers to co-ordinate the import and export of goods if required.
- Sourcing of goods and services domestically including New Zealand.
- Identify and leverage cost savings opportunities on common national goods and services.
- Provide support for domestic freight procurement and periodically solicit freight vendor performance review.
- Act as liaison with Accounts Payable department ensuring all necessary documentation is in place to facilitate payment to vendors
- Ensure costs are within budget and look to continuously reduces cost and drive efficiencies.
- Other ad-hoc duties as required
What you will need to be short-listed
- Relevant tertiary/ diploma qualification, 3+ years Purchasing Operations experience.
- Bachelor’s or associate degree/ diploma in Business Operations or related field and or Finance.
- Or 5+ years’ experience with Purchasing Operations and working on completion of tertiary/ diploma qualification.
- Experience in procure to pay systems
- Solid analytical skills with the ability to create financial reports and conduct cost analyses.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal
