Job description

We are looking for a permanent Office Administrator to provide administrative support to our team, assisting with day-to-day operations, and ensuring efficient functioning of our offices.

About the opportunity:

As an Office Administrator, OCM is seeking someone who is looking to work full time (in our CBD Sydney office located near Wynyard) to provide administrative support to our team, assisting with day-to-day operations, and ensuring efficient functioning of our offices and teams. 

We are looking for an enthusiastic individual with a positive attitude, self-motivation and a passion to take ownership of their role and responsibilities.

As an Office Administrator your role will involve:

  • Providing administrative support to Partners and service teams to arrange meetings, prepare documents
  • Working with Partners with HR administration including onboarding/offboarding of personnel, induction
  • Working with Partners on staff scheduling and work allocation
  • Meeting and greeting all visitors, receipting deliveries to the office
  • Retaining stocks of kitchen supplies, office supplies and equipment and interfacing with suppliers and building management
  • Assisting with internal and external conference or group events and functions
  • Assisting on various projects not limited to new service offerings, business expansion and/or improvements.

Prior experience in administration is highly desirable. What is most important is that you are a clear and enthusiastic communicator.

What you'll need to succeed:

  • Must be an Australian citizen
  • Great interpersonal, communication and customer service skills
  • Administrative/office management experience with intermediate level skills in MS Word and PowerPoint
  • Experience in an admin/client services/practice coordinator capacity within an accounting/professional services firm 
  • Experience with accounting software such as Xero/XPM would be a bonus but not essential
  • High level of written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong time management and organisational skills; ability to prioritise your time
  • Ability to communicate at all levels and build effective and professional relationships with colleagues
  • Proactive with a friendly and positive attitude, patient and flexible in your work approach
