We are a small team of accountants and financial advisers who specialise in SME’s across a broad variety of industries. The Role
The position involves general reception duties as well as office and accounting administration. As receptionist, the successful applicant would be the first point of contact for many clients when they visit or contact the office. You would also be required to contact clients and liaise with external agencies, providers or other parties and associates. In addition to general office duties, the position also involves supporting the director and accounting team with a wide array of tax and accounting administration. As the position requires professional interaction with our clients and other agencies, the ideal candidate must be a well-spoken, well presented and customer focused individual. The role involves, but is not limited to:
- Reception duties including managing incoming and outgoing correspondence
- Maintaining the general reception area and meeting rooms
- Managing accounting calendar appointments and meetings
- Providing support to management as well as the accountant and financial planning teams
- General office administration
- Data entry and typing of various types of correspondence
- Assistance with lodgements of various accounting and taxation documents
- Liaising with clients and Government agencies (e.g. ATO)
- Providing general accounting and taxation assistance and support to clients
- Helping provide a positive team culture and dynamic by organising office/team events and activities
The Ideal Applicant
This position is suitable for someone with a positive attitude that can work with, support and take instruction from multiple people. You must be client focused and team oriented. The most important qualities we look for are motivation, organisation and respect. Being a small team, it is crucial that the candidate can adapt and fit in well with our office culture. While some administration experience is ideal, it is not crucial if you present many other important qualities. Other necessary attributes include:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Positive, enthusiastic and most importantly, a respectful attitude
- Good computing skills and able/willing to quickly learn
- Competent typing ability
- Good organisation skills and able to prioritise work load
- Attention to detail
- Ability to work with others and independently, un supervised
- Can follow processes and also show initiative and create efficiencies while maintaining high standards of work
