About the Role:
The Salvation Army is one of Australia's largest providers of alcohol and other drug services. We offer a range of services including Harm Reduction and Primary Health Services as well as a range of treatment types (including residential treatment centres, community-based support programs, counselling and withdrawal management services).
Our Mount Isa Recovery Services Centre is currently looking for an Office All Rounder to join the team. This is a full time fixed term three year contract. We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Admin Superstar to ensure a safe and structured environment is maintained and that administrative and operational systems are implemented.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage all general administration and clerical activities (organising meetings and events including venue hire, catering, minute taking etc)
- Ensure the provision of prompt and efficient customer service to internal and external customers through reception related activities
- Assist case workers to address client needs, administer the program contributing to case plans and provide supervision to participants
- Demonstrate commitment to an environment that values continuous improvement and innovation in the delivery of high-quality services
- Maintain and respond to the Mount Isa Recovery Services email account
About you:
- Administrative experience, including implementing and coordinating administrative systems
- Experience in providing reception tasks to a range of people within a social service context
- Experience working with people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds
- An understanding of the issues faced by people experiencing AOD related issues, mental health, and other disabilities
- Certificate IV in a relevant discipline (or willing to working towards)
- First Aid and CPR certificate plus willingness to undergo police clearance as part of the recruitment process
