Position Purpose
To assist the WA Division with the administration of events, manage the effective operation of the Office and provide exceptional customer service contact to Property Council members and other visitors.
- Provide administrative and operational support to WA office.
- Provide administrative support to the WA Events team, including booking queries, online registrations, manual bookings, and payments.
- Provide general administrative support to the WA Division, as directed by Executive Director, Commercial Director and/or Deputy Executive Director.
- Deal with members and suppliers in a polite and professional manner.
- Develop positive working relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
- Prepare invoices and receipts for processing by Finance.
- Monitor staff anniversaries and birthdays - advise managers of milestones and arrange suitable gifts.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in a professional customer service environment and 1-2 years’ experience in events and administration.
- Computer literate in Word, PowerPoint, Excel and sound knowledge of management software for (e.g.) events and CRM systems.
- Employs active questioning and listening skills to confidently and professionally diagnose and solve problems.
- Good communication skills, in person and by phone. Adapts communication style and medium to suit message and audience.
- Very good written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience in the resolution of issues and attention to detail.
- Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritise.
- Professional attitude and professional personal presentation.
- Highly organised and efficient.
- Demonstrated experience in working beyond expectations and going beyond what is required.
- Ability to work in a structured manner, with well-developed planning, organisational, multi-tasking and time management skills.
- Trustworthy, cooperative and flexible.
