AddressA Clinical Coordinator role for a Spinal Surgical Specialist Consulting Rooms in St George Private Hospital, Kogarah. Permanent part time 3 days a week (Wed to Fri).
Tasks & responsibilities
The Position is one of coordinating multiple parties across the hospitals that the surgeons work out with Kogarah being the base. It involves patient education and patient care. Some regular aspects of the role are with great communication abilities:
- Preparation of patients for surgery or injection procedures, including patient education and mentoring pre and post surgery.
- Booking of theatres, anaesthetists, instruments for surgery cases; or booking injection procedures.
- Maintaining and ordering of stock for dressings cupboards.
- Wound evaluation and patient follow up as and when needed.
- Phone triage prn: reviewing patients symptoms, determining appointment urgency, surgery urgency, or the need for an unplanned admission, etc.
- Provision of leave cover when required
Qualifications & experience
Beneficial to the Role:
- Nursing Qualification (EN or RN) with post-training experience in a hospital or clinical environment. Reception or clinic experience valued.
- A strong work ethic with attention to detail. Reliable, with the ability to prioritise and multitask, and communicate clearly.
- The ability to work well within a team, as well as autonomously.
Ability to work in a windows server, genie software environment, however not essential.
This is a key member role and an enthusiastic individual who is self-driven and focused is being sought.
