Job description

Nominated as a finalist for the 2022 Queensland Law Society Awards in the Workplace Health and Culture category, we are a leading specialist litigation law firm with offices in Brisbane, Burleigh Heads and Byron. This role is based in our Burleigh Heads office.

The position:

We are looking for an Office Junior to support our Operations team. This position is a full-time role Monday to Friday 8:30am – 5pm. 

The role includes responsibility for a wide range of duties including reception, facilities management, stock management, internal events coordination, mail management, greeting clients, scheduling meetings and managing calendars, receiving and arranging deliveries, printing and scanning, phone support, general office up-keep, and anything else reasonably required to ensure the smooth running of the office. 

The ideal candidate will be someone who proactively listens to the needs of the Operations team and can think on their feet (often ahead of time). They will enjoy interacting with all types of people and managing the competing demands of both internal and external stakeholders with a mature approach and a focus on client service.

To be successful in this position you will possess the following skills:

Professional discretion and respect for confidentiality at all times.

Well-developed time management and organisational skills with the ability to prioritise competing demands to meet deadlines.

Basic understanding of the use of IT including MS Office suite and Acrobat with a willingness to learn various legal practice applications.

High level ability with general clerical and administrative procedures such as data entry, record keeping, template management, use of office equipment etc.

Sophisticated client service skills, offering professional, friendly and efficient client support when responding to enquiries.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong attention to detail.

Aptitude for problem solving and proactive decision making with a common-sense approach and ability to use your initiative.

Ability to multitask and stay focused to work productively despite frequent interruptions.

Strong team player who can foster a positive work environment and support our brand and company values.
