About the role
The Office Manager is responsible for the delivery and oversight of high quality, efficient and confidential professional administrative support services to the Senior School, leading and coordinating the Senior School office staff, systems and events. The position promotes the development and maintenance of a service culture within the Senior School office and may provide administrative support to other senior leadership staff to enable the efficient operation of the Senior School.
Your key responsibilities include:
- Leading the day-to-day general operations of the Senior School administration team, mentoring, and guiding professional development
- Working to optimise the collaborative efforts of the wider administration team to achieve continuous improvement in the way administrative support is delivered
- Providing a high level of secretarial and administrative support to the Deputy Principal/Head of the Senior School, including calendar management and meeting coordination
- Building teamwork within the Senior School Office, fostering a team culture across the School’s administrative support staff.
To be successful in this hands-on role, you'll have:
- Substantial experience in a similar role, leading a team.
- An abundance of common sense and initiative with the ability to get the very best out of your team
- Excellent administrative, organisational and time management skills
- Advanced skills in using information technology including: Microsoft Office suite of programs (Word, Excel and PowerPoint), electronic diary, email, SharePoint, and database applications
- Well-developed written communication skills with the ability to write in a clear, accurate and easily understood style
- Excellent interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with a diverse range of people of all ages using high levels of tact, initiative and diplomacy
- Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive information in a confidential manner
- Current Provide First Aid Certificate (or willingness to obtain one)
- Business related qualifications are desirable but not essential.
