Job description

Stonehouse Corporation is a Boutique Private Equity investment firm modelled on Berkshire Hathaway and established in Melbourne in 2012.  

We acquire and permanently own businesses in Australia and New Zealand.

Our partners include some of the world's best investors.

We have three subsidiaries and an abundance of capital for further acquisitions.  

Due to continued growth, we are expanding our team and have an exciting opportunity for a forward thinking, IT savvy Office Manager with a positive can-do attitude.

The role

As the Office Manager, you will be the cornerstone of our office operations, responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient functioning of our workspace.

The ideal candidate has an administration background within a corporate/professional environment.  Most importantly, you’ll have great communication skills with an eye for detail as well as a passion for keeping things in order.  A proactive approach, interest in learning and enthusiasm for assisting wherever needed to achieve results is also essential for our small team.

This role is based in our new Collins Street Melbourne HQ.

What you'll do

Stonehouse headquarters has an intentionally small team and we work together closely.  

Responsibilities will include:  

  • Meeting and greeting everyone 
  • Answering phone calls, emails and other forms of correspondence
  • Team assistance - meetings, travel, research, expenses 
  • Managing physical and electronic files
  • IT and onboarding administration 
  • Creating and maintaining order 
  • Project assistance 
  • Performing other administrative duties as required

Our ideal candidate:

  • Previous corporate administration/office experience essential
  • IT skills and experience using various systems
  • Positive can-do attitude
  • Willingness to role up sleeves and assist others
  • An eye for detail 
  • Strong communication skills both written and verbal
  • Hands on, confident, self-starter mentality
  • Ability to work in a small team 
  • Curious and keen to learn
