The role:
Our core business is processing Trade Finance transactions involving Documentary Letters of Credit and collections. The purpose of this role is to process international transactions in accordance with company policies, procedures, and industry standards for clients based in Asia region, under Import and Export Letter of Credit and Collection, based in various market segments, including Institutional and Corporate Banking.
Key accountabilities:
- Prepare various Trade related transactions based on customer instructions; Transactions include Trade Finance, Letters of Credit, Collections, Cash letter
- Checks Imports and Exports shipping documents against Letters of Credit,
- Standby Letters of Credit and Guarantees
- Handles intricate errors arising from this activity
- Ensures transactions are handled within agreed SLA's
- Acts as first level of authorisation & establishes/questions variations from industry operating principles
- Determines reasons for errors & recommends amendments to procedures to deal with them to internal and external customers.
- Provides SME input to various working groups and projects which may be undertaken from time to time
What you will bring:
We're keen to hear from applicants who have been building upon their entry level administrative and processing skills, ideally within an operations and reporting environment. To be successful, you will have:
- Experience in International Trade Finance and transaction processing (not essential)
- Demonstrable time management and multitasking skills to carry out administrative duties
- Previous exposure to delivering against SLAs
- Ability to analyse data and decipher the critical pieces of information and investigate where needed
- Strong attention to detail, natural curiosity, self-discipline to work independently and calm demeanour in this fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to learn and a growth mindset
Please note that the hours of this role are from 11.00 AM to 8.00 PM AEST during summer and 10.00AM to 7.00PM during winter
