About The Role
Reporting to the Head of Operational Risk, challenge & support 1st Line business units to minimise the risk of loss whether financial or reputational from the adverse perception of Auswide Bank resulting from failed business processes, people and systems or from external events which may or may not have customer impact.
As part of a dedicated 2nd Line, you will also identify and assess control objectives for the effective management of Operational Risks within risk appetite/compliance obligations and monitor remediation of any control gaps, weaknesses and failures to an agreed outcome.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular control test assurance assessments to review, challenge and uplift the effectiveness of 1st Line controls in relation to all aspects of Operational Risk including cloud governance, data risk, information security and People – WH&S
- Assess & report on various domain aspects of information security risk for the Bank, including findings and recommendations on control effectiveness
- Ensure risk and assurance outcomes are managed through the Bank’s GRC
- Support operational resilience and ownership of critical business processes by assisting with the implementation of the Bank’s CPS 230 Operational Risk Management Framework
- Monitor Operational Risk performance and report on key risk indicators
About You
As well as having well developed written & verbal communication skills and the ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with key internal & external stakeholders at all levels, you will also need to:
- Possess solid skills and experience in providing information security assurance and risk management services
- Possess knowledge in security standards and frameworks, such as ISO27001, NIST 800-53, Cloud Services, Risk Management, Security & Privacy Controls
- Display a strong capacity to translate regulatory, policy and contractual obligations into business requirements
- Collaborate & work co-operatively with other personnel, both internal and external, to achieve the Bank’s objectives, assigned tasks and duties
- Maintain an effective working relationship with our Information Security Team
