What you'll do
- Drive continuous enhancement and implementation of cutting-edge risk management frameworks and systems, aligning with industry best practices
- Develop and ingrain the uplift program's supporting policies, governance structures, reporting frameworks, and operating models
- Actively engage in program operational and performance reviews, providing constructive feedback and challenges to ensure optimal outcomes
- Stay ahead of industry and regulatory developments, contributing to the identification and mitigation of risks across the Bank
- Collaborate with Bank and program stakeholders to employ a consistent risk management approach in identifying, assessing, and mitigating evolving designs
- Ensure timely escalation of material adverse matters, systemic issues, or inactions to the Risk Manager for swift resolution
- Proactively lead and coach the Bank's teams, elevating their capabilities in risk management framework and methodology, thereby enhancing the organization's overall risk identification and management skills
- Degree in a business or risk-related discipline (desired)
- Postgraduate qualifications highly regarded
- 5+ years of operational or financial risk management experience in banking
- Proven experience in managing multiple stakeholders, including senior management
- Coordination expertise in key programs or projects
- Proficiency in balancing compliance requirements with commercial realities, budgetary constraints, and business goals
- Advanced Analytical & Reporting skills
- Strong understanding of risk and compliance management, governance concepts, and industry regulations impacting financial services
