Parklands Residential Aged Care Facility are seeking two Operational Services Officer (Catering and Cleaning) for a casual positions at their facility located in Kirwan.
An amalgamation of historic roles, such as catering, cleaning and laundry has led to a cohesive team approach to resident service delivery. Staff flexibility is a key factor to the success of achieving the primary objective of the Operational Services Officer.
Parklands Residential Aged Care Facility, is a Queensland Health managed aged care service within the Townsville Hospital and Health Service and is located in Townsville at the Kirwan campus. The facility provides care for 70 residents with 30 places for dementia care and 40 places for older persons who require care due to fragility and complex needs.

The Opportunity Communication is primarily with the supervisor and then encompasses all staff within the multidisciplinary team including nursing, allied health, and administration.
Deliver comprehensive quality service to meet the needs of residents, and environmental standards, under the direction and or supervision of a supervisor, within his / her level of experience and training. Undertake any education necessary to maintain currency relevant to his / her role. Maintain standards of the public health care sector and be compliant with the Code of Conduct and Aged care Standards.

Role requirements
- The appointee to this position will be required to carry out frequent and repetitive lifting, and manual handling of goods.
- National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) Worker Screening Check: As a Health Care worker in Queensland Health who engages in risk-assessed roles, you must hold a current disability check (Yellow Card or Yellow Card Exemption) or an NDIS worker screening check, in accordance with Part 5 of the Disability Services Act 2006 (Qld).
