The Operational Supervisor in Central Pharmacy within the Supply Chain Surety branch, Department of Health will manage all aspects of the warehouse functions and activities whilst providing leadership in the management of staff and material resource to ensure that the various daily operational demands of the business are met.
About Supply Chain Surety branch:
Supply Chain Surety is a branch in Corporate Services Division (CSD) supporting the supply of clinical goods, pharmaceuticals and linen products to the Hospital and Health Services (HHS), Queensland Health. The branch is comprised of functions critical to Queensland Health's supply response, including Supply Chain Services, Central Pharmacy, Group Linen Services and Operations. This branch brings together an end-to-end supply chain function from demand planning through to warehousing and distribution into a single integrated branch led by the Executive Director. The Branch supports clients and stakeholders across the Department of Health, all Hospital and Health Services, Queensland Government and some external agencies.
What we are looking for:
- Supervision of a multi skilled team in a high-volume multifunctional warehouse operation, in accordance with industry best practice.
- Experience in the handling and storage requirements of pharmaceutical inventory.
- Ability to exercise a high degree of autonomy, initiative and judgement to manage multiple tasks and priorities whilst remaining focused, in an environment with high workloads and competing demands.
- Effective interpersonal skills both oral and written to effectively communicate, negotiate and liaise at all levels to ensure cohesive team performance and resolve issues.
- Ability to use Windows office applications and computer warehouse management systems.
