Operations and Marketing Manager

Our client is a long standing, proudly Australian brand looking to launch a sustainability focused sub-brand. Focusing on Australia’s circular economy, the brand will aim to strengthen confidence in, and demand for, recycled content products across all categories of manufactured goods (excluding packaging).
  
The role

As Operations and Marketing Manager, you will be integral in leading the development of a program structure and implementation strategy for a new circular economy focused certification trademark.

The role is a hybrid of Operations and Marketing, managing day to day business objectives, financials, marketing and media. You will also be responsible for developing and implementing an external stakeholder engagement plan with business, industry and government.

The role will be key in driving a circular economy by 2030, promoting more recycling and sustainable products which will greatly reduce waste and pollution in Australia.

This is a unique opportunity to build and develop a brand from the ground up.  Whilst initially an autonomous role (with the support of the internal team), there will be the opportunity to develop direct reports as the launch date progresses.

Please note, this is an initial 2-year contract, with view to extend to ongoing employment.

Skills and experience

To be successful in this role as Operations and Marketing Manager, you will be an enthusiastic professional with a self-starter attitude. You will have experience and knowledge of working alongside government to deliver objectives, and importantly, a passion for sustainability, recycling and providing consumers with the information to foster the same. You will also have:

• Exceptional stakeholder engagement and strategic skills
• Financial management experience
• People leadership experience
• You will have worked across marketing previously, including brand asset management and lead generation
• Proven experience developing and executing both operational and Marketing strategies in either SME or larger consumer environments.
