About The Goods Shed:
The Goods Shed is a multifaceted hospitality and entertainment hub, home to phenomenal culinary concepts and unique event spaces. This vibrant new precinct is a must-visit destination for locals and visitors with an incredible Events Hall and a thriving new Dining Hall.
Each space within the Events Hall is unique in design and character. As the major hospitality partner to the precinct, Atlantic Group® cater to a range of private social gatherings, parties, weddings, corporate functions and working meetings. It’s multi-purpose facilities include a 240-person event space (Lydiard Hall), a 300-person theatre (Terminus Theatre), multiple meeting rooms (Carriage Rooms) and an outdoor events plaza.
The Dining Hall houses a variety of favourites, including an all-day café (Nolans), and an Asian grab and go kiosk (Boom Time).
About the role
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic experienced Event Operations Manager to join our team of event professionals to oversee and manage all aspects of weddings, social and corporate events at The Goods Shed.
You will be responsible for ensuring exceptional client & guest experiences, executing flawless events, and managing the team on the day of the event. This role requires strong organisational skills, excellent communication abilities, and a passion for delivering outstanding events.
About you
You will be passionate about delivering experiences that exceeds expectations. In addition you will have:
- 2+ years' experience in managing the delivery of successful events
- A strong knowledge of food and beverage and catering
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with clients and staff
- Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and work under pressure
- Demonstrated ability to lead and manage a team
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to think on your feet
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends and public holidays
- Right to work in Australia
