The role is a fixed term, full-time position until the end of the crushing season (Approx. December 2024*).
Reporting directly to the Transport Operations Superintendent, this is a unique opportunity to experience and learn the overall Transport Operations Function. What is an Operations Centre Trainee, you might ask? They are responsible for communications between harvesting groups, planners and rail network controllers.
This position utilizes Mackay Sugar systems to monitor train movement, deliveries/collection and siding bookings. This position will develop into a rail network controller who are responsible for the control and supervision of locomotives, and rail mounted equipment movements.
