About the role
Green Island Resort is seeking a highly motivated and organised Operations Coordinatorto join our dynamic team.
As the Operations Coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless day-to-day operations of our resort, delivering exceptional guest experiences, and supporting various departments.
Reporting to the Resort General Manager your key responsibilities will include:
- Deliver a high level of guest satisfaction including managing guest enquiries, requests and feedback in a prompt and courteous manner
- Support special events and activities, ensuring smooth execution with internal and external stakeholders
- Participate as part of Green Island’s On-Call Team. A rotating roster (which may include weekend work) in which you will act as the first point of contact to resolve guest enquiries and/or respond to emergencies
- Work in collaboration with the General Manager and Engineering Manager to ensure emergency procedures are current and appropriate training is delivered to staff
- Attend to first incidents and co-ordinate appropriate action in the event of emergency situations in consultation with internal stakeholders
- In conjunction with the Operations Manager assist with managing the stores department, including inventory control, procurement and stock management, including fortnightly barge operations.
About you, our ideal candidate is
- First aid qualified (or willing to obtain)
- Licensed to operate a forklift (or willing to obtain)
- Willing to work a 7-day rotating roster and be able to stay on the island for a minimum of 2 nights per week
- Able to demonstrate a sound understanding of WHS
- A great communicator and willing to provide exceptional guest experience
- An energetic, team-focused person with a can-do attitude
