As the Operations Coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the efficient and effective operations of our business in the region.
Boom Logistics are seeking a proactive and customer-focused Operations Coordinator who is looking for a compelling learning, development and career progression opportunity to join our team in our regional operations on a full-time basis.
This position collaborates with stakeholders to drive operation excellence. You will play a pivotal role in supporting the efficient and effective operations of our business in the regions. This position will be based in Port Hedland to drive our regional operations.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and oversee daily operational activities, including scheduling, dispatching, and tracking of equipment and personnel.
- Liaise with internal teams, clients, and suppliers to ensure seamless execution of projects and services.
- Provide timely and accurate reporting on operational performance metrics to management.
- Ensure compliance with relevant industry regulations, standards, and company policies.
- Assist in the development and implementation of operational procedures and protocols to optimize efficiency and safety standards.
- Collaborate with the maintenance team to schedule routine maintenance and repairs of equipment to minimize downtime.
- Demonstrate exemplary customer service, catering to both internal and external stakeholders.
- Address customer inquiries or issues promptly and efficiently, ensuring their needs are met effectively.
- Collaborate within a team environment, fostering effective communication among all members
- Spearhead initiatives aimed at enhancing business growth and driving continuous improvements.
- Ensure streamlined handling of bookings and optimal allocation of regional resources.
Role Requirements:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships at all levels.
- Maintain a strong focus on providing excellent customer service
- Proven experience in a similar operations coordination role within the logistics or construction industry.
- Sound problem-solving skills and the ability to make quick and informed decisions.
- Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations relevant to the industry.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities with the capacity to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Proficiency in using computer software and systems, including MS Office and logistics management software.
- Sound data input/typing skills
- Ability to meet deadlines, prioritise tasks and plan effectively
- Strong attention to detail
- Sound numeracy skills, and an intermediate working knowledge of Microsoft Suite
- Willing to travel regionally to sites and depots as required
