About The Role
The Operations CoOrdinatorwill develop rosters, schedule vessels, develop timetables and manage daily operations under supervision of the GM. Candidates will be highly organised with strong time management skills. Candidates will also ensure that our customer standards are delivered to meet our customer expectations by monitoring, maintaining and seeking opportunities for improvement.
Ideal candidates will have experience working onboard a commercial or recreational vessel, and be looking to expand their knowledge in operations.
Key Role Responsibilities and Requirements
As the Operations Coordinator, you will:
- Develop rosters for the Marine Department in conjunction with the Marine Manager.
- Amend and develop timetables.
- Ensure all new Marine Employees are inducted as per company guidelines.
- Central co-ordinator for all matters relating to services including:
- Checking Timetables are updated across all platforms – Web, Facebook, SMSs
- Payment systems, and on wharf passenger movement and management
- Signage
- Vessel operations and safety
- Vessel availability
- Presentation of personnel
- Ensure the highest level of safety is always maintained on the vessels.
- Maintain the best possible communication between all departments of the company.
- Co-ordinate training and induction of all vessel crew in accordance with the company’s policies.
- Provide the necessary guidelines, direction and supervision in regard to the uniforms and personal presentation of all crew who interface with the companies’ customers.
- Maintain a current and complete understanding of all conditions and pay rates of all applicable awards or EAs, and coordinate employment under these structures.
- Assist in the vessel operations as required.
This role is a full-time position however expressions of interest for part time hours will be considered.
Qualifications & Experience
- Valid First Aid Certificate
- 2 years + marine experience onboard a vessel
- Certificate I in Maritime Operations (General Purpose Hand Near Coast) or higher
