The team Provide high-quality technical and operational support to ensure the continued availability of mission-critical radio communications network infrastructure and subscriber technologies.
Role:
- Provide tech operations, support, security & maintenance on systems, subsystems & applications
- Escalation point for customer network operations control centre staff and & engineers
- Provide technical & procedural documentation
- Work within the customer-defined change control process to perform planned maintenance activities
- Ensure supported system installation and configuration is in accordance with documented configurations.
- Provides short & long-term in-depth analysis & investigation of problems.
- Work alongside other teams for project based activities
- Provide report to KPIs and SLAs
- Regular update Windows, Linux servers & other network devices
- Engineer, implement and monitor security measures for the protection of radio and application network.
- Manage updated endpoint security definitions & configurations
- Provide mentorship & guidance to junior members
- Engineer, implement and monitor security measures for radio & network
What we are looking for:
- 2+ yrs exp in engineering, IT systems support or telecommunications
- Ability to write both internal and customer-facing technical documentation and change implementation plans.
- Familiarity with using and patching Linux and Windows Server.
- Familiarity with VMWare ESXi.
- Familiarity with Cisco and Juniper routers, switches, and firewall devices.
- Experience in an IT service management or similar operations environment.
- To understand IP networking concepts. (Certifications such as Network+ / CCNA / JNCIA are desirable but definitely not essential & support to secure them provided!!)
- Trunked radio system experience is desirable.
