people2people are excited to be collaborating with a global retail giant renowned for its innovation, efficiency, and commitment to excellence. Based out in Marsden Park, they are currently seeking an experienced and dynamic Operations Manager to join their growing team.
THE ROLE
Reporting to and working closely with the DC Manager,
You will be responsible for overseeing and supervising the inbound & outbound departments to ensure smooth and efficient flow. Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Leading inbound & outbound departments to maximise operational excellence and productivity.
- Manage and ensure an efficient planning and optimisation of the flow of products across all departments.
- Managing the overall profitability based on cost effectiveness through accurate planning and by using cost saving initiatives.
- Lead and support the Team Leaders to recruit, develop and retain workforce for Inbound and Outbound according to capability needs and forecasted capacity requirements.
- Lead department teams to ensure logistic capacity needs in alignment with DC
ABOUT YOU
- Strong in communication and adapting method based on circumstance
- Strong Operational inbound logistics expertise to effectively manage and develop DC Operations.
- Deep knowledge and understanding of end-to-end DC Processes.
- Ability to encourage collaboration, co-creation and people development
- Experience in mentoring and and strong people management skills
- Driver's Licence
- Forklift Licence is beneficial but not desired
- 3-5 years experience in similar role
- Proficient in Excel and MS Office
- SAP experience is desired but not essential
