Operations ManagerThe Role
BTP has a rare opportunity for a highly motivated and experienced Operations Manager to lead the day-to-day function of its Queensland Operations based in Mackay.
In this role, you will develop and maintain the current operations including establishing relationships with internal stakeholders, peers & BTP's specialised customers.
You will be accountable for achieving operational targets including but not limited to safety management, productivity, labour recovery and staff wellbeing.
The prime responsibility of this role is to ensure all operational requirements of the business units are successfully met and to support and develop their teams to achieve the overarching strategic plan.
A high priority is also placed on customer engagement and relationship abilities both internal and external as this position involves working closely with BTP contract site and customers.

Key Requirements
Tertiary qualification in Business, Engineering or associated degree and/or a minimum of 3 years' experience in a senior management position within similar industry exposure
Demonstrated experience within heavy industry technology in either a consulting or project management capacity
Ability to lead multi-functional teams to achieve outcomes in a short time frame
Well-developed business acumen and critical thinking skills with the ability to successfully manage budgets and analyse data and compile reports
Advance communication skills written, verbal and interpersonal and across multiple levels
Highly developed organisational skills with the ability to successfully manage fluctuating workloads and prioritise accordingly and a highly developed attention to detail
Good communication skills (written, verbal and interpersonal)
Understand how to influence key metrics such as labour utilization, Work in Progress as well as efficiency performance measures
Ability to work successfully and autonomously within a team
