This will enable governments in the region to share experience and expertise, address common challenges, and work cooperatively for mutual benefit. In the medium and longer term, stronger ties and partnerships will support opportunities for trade and investment relationships and build joint understanding of and commitment to international rules and norms that underpin accountable and effective government systems.The thematic priorities are:1. Climate change and energy transition2. Education and skills3. Food security and sustainable agriculture4. Effective and inclusive public institutions5. Trade and investmentG2G will be delivered through two streams – the Core Partners Stream and the Country-led Stream. The program will be managed as a portfolio that builds a balanced set of partnerships across countries and sectors over time. Initially, G2G prioritises establishing Australian government entity partnerships with priority Southeast Asia countries and sectors through the Core Partner Stream. Click on the link or copy paste it to access the full Terms of Reference for this position:About the RoleThe Operations Manager leads the G2G Operations Support Team to provide all aspects of program operational services for the delivery of G2G. Working closely with the Executive Director and the managing contractor, the Operations Manager ensures the delivery of efficient and effective systems and services in human resource management, financial management, logistics and administration, monitoring and evaluation, communications, and risk management and compliance.Key Responsibilities· With DT Global, set-up the G2G offices Canberra and a potential location in Southeast Asia.· Establish all operational systems, procedures and processes, and document these in the G2G Operations Manual.· Ensure effective day-to-day relationships and support logistics with Australian government entities, Southeast Asian government entities, DFAT Posts, Canberra desks and other stakeholders.· Maintain G2G’s advisory panels of partnership brokers and technical experts.· Oversee processes for the recruitment, contracting and management of program staff.· Oversee budget management, financial procedures, and financial reporting.· Provide logistical support and advice to personnel working in Southeast Asia.· Manage the logistical arrangements for events and activities.· Manage a team of staff, including work planning, capacity development, and performance management.· Oversee office management and support services including administration, IT, procurement, purchasing, assets, documents/records and logistics.· Manage safety and security issues, acting as the first point of contact for any incidents, circulating security information and alerts, and managing risks.· Support compliance with DT Global’s contractual and corporate obligations.· As a member of the management team, contribute to: program work planning; integration of gender equality, disability and social inclusion, First Nation perspectives, environmental considerations and other cross-cutting issues across all aspects of the program; fostering of a collaborative team; and measurement of results and production of reports.About YouSelection Criteria· Experience in an operations management or similar role, preferably in a development program context.· Demonstrated ability to multi-task, prioritise and manage a variety of functions, including procurement, personnel management, financial management, and the day to day running and management of program activities.· Demonstrated ability to implement corporate policies and procedures, develop operational systems, and manage process improvements.· Demonstrated ability to identify, manage, and mitigate organisational and corporate risks.· Highly developed inter-personal and cross-cultural skills, and written communication skills in English.· Ability to plan, strategize and comprehend complex situations, and solve problems with practical solutions.· Tertiary qualification in management, administration, HR, international development, or a relevant discipline is desirable.HOW TO APPLY
