About the role
We are looking for an experienced Operations Manager - National with NV2 security clearance to be part of an exciting Defence project to start in July 2024 for a period of 3 years. Reporting to the Service Delivery Manager (SDM), the Operations Manager - National has day-to-day responsibility for the provision of all services in Canberra, RAAF Williamtown and Tindal.
About you
Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

• Leads the assessment, analysis, planning and design of release packages, including assessment of risk.
• Liaises with business and IT partners on release scheduling and communication of progress.
• Conducts post release reviews. Ensures release processes and procedures are applied and that releases can be rolled back as needed.
• Identifies, evaluates and manages the adoption of appropriate release and deployment tools, techniques and processes (including automation).
• Setting and maintaining the quality standards, processes and procedures required to enable the Service Objectives set by the Service Delivery Manager.
• Oversight of all ICT works and oversight of transition of Project-led works into BAU.
• Management of resource allocation across supported locations, including support to F-35 deployments.
• Governance and reporting to the SDM on delivery of services, including development of a Monthly Operations Report.
• Incident & Problem Management and escalation.
• Attending key governance boards on behalf of the SDM, including the F-35 Lightning Requirements Board (LRB), F-35 Lightning Sustainment Trends and Operational Review Meeting (STORM).

Requirements:

• NV2 essential.
• Minimum 5 years experience ideally with Defence or Federal Government.
• Any previous experience with MPI Air 6000 (F-35 Lightening) a distinct advantage.
