About the Role
We are looking for an extraordinary, enthusiastic and highly motivated flexible full time Operations Manager that is inspired to create a unique and memorable guest experience. The position will suit someone who is currently looking to develop their leadership skills & prides in always delivering superior customer service. Reporting to the PRACC Board, you will be responsible for leading the PRACC team and ensuring effective, strategic and operational support in consultation with the PRACC Board. Flexibility in working hours would suit this unique position.
Renumeration will be based on the applicant’s experience

Responsibilities included:
- Oversee the PRACC operational team and perform all operational duties. As manager you must exhibit a close working relationship with the admin, kitchen & bar staff, to ensure all ordering is performed both cost effectively, from suitable suppliers and on a regular basis.
- Communicate with staff around all events, functions and menus.
- Manage all staff ensuring there is a safe, efficient and effective environment to operate in.
- Liaise with the PRACC Board, Community & Key Stakeholders to identify initiate, and/or conduct, programs/activities within the venue.
- Promote the venue to outside bodies including corporate and community groups, to market the facility for hosting regional events, training courses, conferences, corporate days, etc, to increase the utilisation of the centre and promotion of Pingelly.
- Oversee event management and plan for future programs and events.
- Attend and provide monthly reports to the PRACC Board for review at meetings and when requested.
- Prepare sound management reports for the PRACC Board and assist the PRACC Treasurer with the preparation of an annual budget and monitor the centres finances
- Manage the Occupational Health & Safety at the Centre including training and ensuring all staff hold the acceptable OHS requirements
- Conduct sound staff management including recruitment, supervision, and training
- Roster staff according to customer and event demand, within the agreed budget
- Investigate funding opportunities available to Not for Profits and apply/obtain when suitable funding arises.
- Ensure all procedures for safety, training, purchasing, document control, internal quality audits, corrective and preventative action, and customer complaints.
- Actively promote and advertise the PRACC, its unique facilities, and activities to users and community and corporate groups.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant OH & S practices.
Essential Criteria:
- Proven ability to lead, plan, and deliver events collaboratively and professionally within a large organisation
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate with key and senior stakeholders across multiple parts of an organisation to deliver an outcome
- Excellent attention to detail, ability to manage competing priorities, to work both autonomously and as part of a team demonstrating well-developed time and personal management skills
- Experience working in hospitality and events management preferable
- Financial management skills
- Exceptional communication skills both written and verbal
- Commitment to a high standard of service and customer focus
- Relevant qualifications, or working towards qualifications, including holding an Approved Managers Card and a Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA)
- Hold a current “C” Class Motor Driver’s License
- Hold a current Working with Children Check
- Hold a current St John’s First Aid certificate

The PRACC is a facility available to continually engage local and regional communities in sports, recreation, cultural, and community activities, thereby increasing the regional economy by drawing in players, sponsors, events, and spectators.
