AddressStellar Recruitment is partnering with an international market leader and one of Australia’s largest FMCG manufacturers and exporters, they are also market leaders when it comes to renewable energy and sustainable bioethanol manufacturing.
Managing the end-to-end process from harvest through to packaging, this is a business that has seen great success as it challenges the status quo through innovation and continuous improvement. Due to an internal promotion, I am actively recruiting their next Operations Manager to join and lead one of their mill operations in North Queensland.
The Role:
As Operations Manager, you will report directly to the Group Manager and take full responsibility of the successful running of this large mill. You will manage a broad team to include various trades, engineers, safety and administration. This role will suit someone with an Engineering background in manufacturing. You will be a self-starter, a doer and a strong leader. Someone who is always looking for incremental growth to improve efficiencies, relationships, quality and safety across the site.
Key duties include:
- Driving manufacturing excellence and continuous improvement.
- Hands-on people management including hiring, training and coaching.
- Taking ownership of production, timelines, quality and budgets.
- Someone who will champion health and safety.
- Active involvement in the rollout of new product solutions.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
- Previous sugar experience is highly regarded
- Proven track record as an Operations Manager within a manufacturing environment.
- End-to-end product experience will be highly desirable.
- An effective communicator and someone who leads by example.
- A multitasker, good conflict resolution and a finisher are all great attributes of success.
