Operations Manager

The Operations Manager at a 1-800-GOT-JUNK? franchise should be a high-energy professional who is proactive and self-motivated with a demonstrated ability to think and plan strategically. Ideally, a qualified Operations Manager will have experience in the different facets critical in small business: sales, marketing, administration, operations and human resources.
Compensation: Competitive base salary + Super, as well as the opportunity to earn monthly or quarterly bonuses.
Reporting directly to the General Manager, you’ll lead the day-to-day operations of our Truck Teams. Responsibilities will include
- People - working with your GM to hire, onboard, train and develop a world-class team.
- Team Engagement - Developing highly engaged Team Members who feel cared for and understand that their work matters.
- Business Success - Driving sales, identifying increased profit opportunities, and increasing market share.
- Route Management - Preparing schedules, assigning teams, customer follow up.
- Logistics - Keeping the fleet on the road at the right place at the right time and creating opportunities to assist additional customers.
- Safety - Ensuring the Team works safely on the job and on the trucks.
- Truck Maintenance - Keeping the fleet in great condition by working with local mechanics and other vendors that provide the services necessary to keep our trucks clean and shiny.
About you:
You’re an organised leader who has the ability to manage multiple priorities and tasks. You have a successful track record overseeing a team of people in a high-growth, fast-paced environment. To qualify, you must possess the following qualifications:
- A great attitude and strong multi-tasking, time management skills.
- 3+ years of Operations Management / Team Leadership experience preferred.
- Drivers License and clean driving record (past 3 years).
- Must be willing to drive a truck (we would help you upgrade to an LR license).
- Must be able to lift 25 kgs+ regularly to support the team.
- Availability to work an average of 45 hours per week. We operate Mon-Sat 6am-7pm (closed Sundays & Holidays).
- Excellent verbal & written communication skills.
- Strong desire to help others excel and hit goals.
- Tech-savvy is a major plus.
