What we’re looking for:
This position is responsible for ensuring strong financial sustainability, compliance, and growth of AEG’s centres within their designated area/s, through the provision of effective and professional operational leadership. As an Operation Manager you may at times assist the State Manager with additional leadership responsibilities across the state, and you will have clear responsibilities under six key result areas – quality, compliance, occupancy, debt, rostering, and people development (6-point centre plan).
The role:
Reporting to the State Manager, you will be responsible for
- Leading safety and compliance for the state
- Leading and developing a group of Area Managers and ensuring they are being mentored to achieve outstanding results
- Driving the KPIs within your state area to ensure operational procedures are met or exceeded
- Ensuring all areas and centres meeting all Quality areas
- Quickly apply effective strategies to turn around a centre in a downturn, including the effective utilisation of operations and centre support functions to improve the centre’s viability.
- Oversee reporting of critical Information to AEG and all relevant Departments.
- Ensuring spending and purchasing fits within budgets and is justified
- Ensuring occupancy initiatives are executed across area/s and evaluate their success.
- Oversee roster management to ensure Wage To Revenue meets weekly baseline target spend.
About you:
- A minimum of 5 years successful record of accomplishment as a field manager
- Diploma in Business, Children's Services, or equivalent.
- Commercial management experience
- Current Working with Children Check and Driver's Licence.
- Ability to oversee the planning and implementation of work programs, maintain relevant records and control budgets.
- Ability to identify challenges, develop solutions, and implement effective strategies.
- Adaptability and flexibility to changing work environments and requirements
- Excellent organisational and time management skills with an ability to prioritise and manage competing workloads and priorities.
- Ability to develop strong working relationships both internally and externally
