Waste Management Field Operators undertake general labouring duties related to a range of
Waste Management functions - this involves aspects of manual handing (including but not limited to moving bins, removing rubbish as required, opening gates etc.), operating the rubbish compactor and removing roadside litter and illegal dumpingWhile carrying out the above mentioned duties you'll be required to complete administrative documents associated with the role as required, work safely while using the appropriate PPE, chemicals and cleansing equipment and maintain positive working relations with team members and members of the public.Please note - this position requires the successful applicant to be available to work any 5 out of 7 days as part of the ordinary hours - penalty rates apply. About youIdeally you will have demonstrated experience in a similar position carrying out general labouring duties related to waste activities. You will have the ability to safely carry out manual tasks and undertake administrative activities/use technology applications as required by this position. Paired with the above mentioned skills and experience, you will currently hold a truck licence (minimum MR - medium rigid) and either hold or be willing to obtain a Construction Induction card prior to commencement.Safety is a key priority for us as an organisation, and we will be seeking candidates who not only have the knowledge and physical ability to safely undertake the manual tasks required in this role, we want you to have a genuine desire to contribute to a positive safety culture.
