About the Role
WorkPac are currently seeking an experienced Ballast Cleaning Operations Planner. You will be responsible for coordinating and planning activities related to the Ballast Cleaning works. This role involves scheduling and organising ballast cleaning operations, considering factors such as project requirements, equipment availability, enabling works, logistic arrangements, accommodation requirements, track access availability and operational efficiency. In this role you will work closely with maintenance teams, equipment operators, and other stakeholders to ensure that ballast cleaning projects are executed in a timely and cost-effective manner, while adhering to safety and quality standards. Additionally, the role may involve analysing data, monitoring project progress, and adjusting plans as needed to optimise the overall performance of ballast cleaning operations.
Skills & Experience Required:
Australian C Class Drivers Licence
Railway operations, planning, and maintenance experience
Demonstrable background delivering projects in line with predicted operational requirements
Proven proficiency in developing Gantt charts using MS Project
Understanding of maintenance management principles and work systems
Experience in technical reviews and investigations
Proficient in Computerised Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) and Microsoft Office Suite
Strong communication skills
Effective problem-solving abilities
