The Role
The position of Operations Superintendent plays a pivotal role in overseeing and managing the execution of diving projects undertaken by Franmarine. Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Superintendent ensures adherence to safety protocols, contract terms, and operational procedures while fostering positive client relationships and promoting team morale.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, supervise and develop a team of Dive Supervisors and Operational staff responsible for day-to-day project execution.
- Provide guidance, mentorship, and support to Dive Supervisors and relevant team members to ensure effective performance and professional development. Onsite coaching and development
- Clear communication and updates of job status and requirements
- Co-ordinate crewing activities
- Working with Operations Manager and broader team to support identification of business opportunities
- Supporting with RFQ’s/ tendering documentation,
- Project Management - from quoting to close out and continuous improvements. Providing updates to relevant stakeholders.
- Conduct periodic audits and inspections to verify compliance with safety regulations, contractual requirements, and company policies.
- Identify training needs and opportunities for professional development within the diving operations team.
- Foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement within the team to drive excellence in project execution and client service.
- Collaborate with stakeholders, including clients, subcontractors, and internal departments, to ensure seamless project coordination and execution.
- Ensuring the safety and well-being of all diving staff in line with legislation and diving regulations
About you?
- Commercial Diving experience mandatory
- Knowledge of Diving Industry legislations, standards and HSEQ requirements relevant to operations and personnel
- Strong leadership and communication skills - committed to developing team
- Proficient in Microsoft 365
- Sharepoint knowledge highly desired
- Highly desirable project management or business relevant qualification/experience
- Hold a current ADAS Onshore Diving Supervision
(minimum Part 2 -SSBA to 30m) qualification or approved equivalent as a minimum highly desirable - Hold a current First Aid certificate
- Hold current CPR and Oxygen Administration certification highly desirable
- Hold a current dive medical fitness certificate highly desirable
