About the Role
In the role, you will be the driving force behind the day-to-day operations within the Dooen site. In this role, you will co-ordinate grain operations and resources within the Dooen site to achieve high levels of safety, quality, efficiency and customer service.
Reporting to the Operations Coordinator, this role has operational responsibility for all storage and handling functions, including staff and systems performance. This is a hands-on role that requires strong leadership skills, exceptional problem-solving abilities, and a passion for delivering results.
Duties
- Supervise and coordinate grain receival, storage, packing, cleaning and outloading.
- Manage a team of operational staff, providing guidance and support to achieve production targets.
- Implement and enforce safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate stock movements as per operational requirements.
- Conduct regular inspections of equipment and facilities to ensure optimal performance and maintenance.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to facilitate smooth operations and customer satisfaction.
- Maintain accurate records of grain transactions, quality assessments, and operational reports.

About You
- Certificate IV in Frontline Management is preferred.
- Proven experience in frontline management.
- Relevant operational experience, preferably gained in a bulk grain handling environment.
- Excellent leadership and team-building skills, with the ability to motivate and engage a diverse workforce.
- Strong interpersonal, problem solving and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritise tasks, and adapt to changing priorities.
