Manheim also provides specialist services to the insurance industry for the remarketing of damaged items from these sectors.Manheim is a Cox Automotive Brand, the world’s largest automotive service organisation, we’re transforming the way people buy, sell, own and use vehicles.About the roleAs one of our Operations Supervisors, you will lead the Salvage team and provide support to the Operations leadership team in running the function for the Moorebank site. You will be supervising aspects of the designated operations business including book in, inspections, yard logistics, stock movement, quality assurance, and entry and exit control.Utilising your exceptional communication skills with the ability to lead, you will be responsible for leading and motivating your team to ensure the quality of deliver and timeliness vehicle preparation for sale and cost control across all selling streams.This is a past-faced role and you will have a variety of responsibilities within the following areas:
Work, health and safety
People leadership and development
Customer service and account management
Internal and external communication
Reporting and administration
Planning and systems implementation
About you:
Proven experience in a similar leadership role within a medium to large organisation
Forklift ticket and valid driver’s license (a manual driver’s license is beneficial)
Previous logistics systems experience and competent with technology (hardware and software)
Written and verbal communication skills including the ability to make decisions under pressure
Exposure to working in or having a passion for the automotive industry is beneficial
Willing to undergo background checks (Police and Work Rights) and a pre-employment medical (including a drug and alcohol test) as part of the recruitment process. Please note: we also conduct random drug and alcohol tests onsite
This role involves working outdoors so you will need to be comfortable working outside for long periods of time in various terrains across our yards
